Brockton Beer Company was founded in 2018 by five local families who bonded over their shared experiences through youth sports and weekly Game Nights. They were inspired by the impact breweries had on surrounding communities and began their journey by collaborating with other Massachusetts breweries in 2019 and 2020. They began contract brewing in 2021, distributing their beer throughout the South Shore, Cape Cod, and western Massachusetts before opening their brewpub doors in June 2022.

Brockton Beer Company is proud to be the 6th Black-owned brewery in Massachusetts and is also proud to identify as Asian-owned and classified as a minority-owned business.
Finally, Brockton Beer Company has earned the following honors:
- 2021 Metro South Economic Impact Award
- 2022 Silver Medal for their Black Kolsch beer, Yasuke, at the Denver International Beer Competition
- 2023 Gold Awardee for the Southeast Region, MassEcon Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards
